The first episode of the Hercai series was broadcast on 15 March 2019 on the Turkish channel ATV. Here is the summary of the first episode of season 1 of the Turkish series Hercai.
Hercai tells the story of Riyyan and Miran. An impossible love set in the context of revenge between powerful families. The family Şadoğlu, to which Riyyan belongs, is one of the most powerful families in the city of Midyat.
Riyyan is a young woman from the family Şadoğlu. She is unloved in her family. Her grandfather doesn’t love her and Riyyan has only one hope, to one day leave the family home. She prays for this miracle to happen.
In Episode 1 of Hercai, Riyyan dreams of her Prince Charming, who would come to pick her up and with whom she would found her own home.

Hercai episode 1: the meeting of Riyyan and Miran
While Riyyan goes for a horse ride, in the early morning, his road crosses that of Miran. In this first episode 1 of Hercai, Miran was driving and almost knocks down Riyyan who was on horseback. He stops just in time, but Riyyan falls off his horse and loses consciousness.
When he sees her on the ground, he recognises her immediately. He knows it is Riyyan Şadoğlu. But Riyyan doesn’t know him.
Miran is going to take Riyyan home, although she doesn’t want to be seen with a man. Miran will take her home and explain to her family that she had an accident and that he just drove her home.
In fact, Riyyan’s family knew Miran, they are partners in a hotel project.
Miran had introduced himself to the family Şadoğlu, as a young and wealthy businessman from Istanbul. He offered Nassoh Bey a partnership and financial links would be created between the family Şadoğlu and Miran.
Riyyan’s cousin has feelings for Miran and will confess them to Riyyan. She is in love with Miran and will ask Riyyan to get away from him.
Hercai, episode 1 of season 1: the proposal of marriage
In this first episode of Hercai, Miran is going to propose to Riyyan in marriage with his grandfather and father. No one was expecting it. Why is Miran proposing to Riyyan when he is not supposed to know her! Or does Riyyan secretly know Miran?
Riyyan’s grandfather was not happy about the proposal. He would have wanted Yaren, his other granddaughter, to marry their business partner, Miran.
Riyyan’s cousin Yaren is madly jealous. After she had just confessed her feelings for Miran to Riyyan, she learns that Miran is asking to marry Riyyan.
Miran’s revenge in Hercai episode 1
Miran was raised in hatred of the Sadoglu family. As a small child, his grandmother told him how the Sadoglu family was responsible for the death of his parents.
Growing up, Miran thought of only one thing: revenge against those who were responsible for the death of his parents.
We learn in this first episode of Hercai that Riyyan is not a legitimate child. She is not the daughter of Hazar Sadoglu. When Hazar married Riyyan’s mother, she was already pregnant by another man. So he is not Riyyan’s father, which explains why grandfather Sadoglu does not treat Riyyan like his other little girl Yaren.
The grandfather wants Miran to marry his real granddaughter, Yaren and not Riyyan. So he sends a message to Miran or informs her that he will give her Yaren as his wife.
As for Riyyan, she doesn’t understand why her grandfather doesn’t love her when she is his little girl.
During the marriage proposal ceremony, Sultane introduces herself as Miran’s mother and Gonul her sister.
When Miran, reiterates his request to marry Riyyan in front of the guests, grandfather Nassoh Bey is obliged to accept.
To make sure the wedding takes place, Miran seduces Riyyan, who did not want to marry a stranger. Miran makes Riyyan fall in love with him.
As for Miran, he doesn’t realise that he himself is falling in love with Riyyan.
At the end of Episode 1 of Hercai, we learn that Gonul is actually Miran’s wife, although she had been presented as his sister. Miran and Gonul are married.
